Looking for a little glamour in your life? SoapCenter recently went behind-the-scenes with "One Life to Live'"s Catherine Hickland (Lindsay Rappaport , OLTL) to tour the site of her Cat Cosmetics Studio in New York City. Without the benefit of an architect or interior designer, Catherine Hickland transformed a barren, uninspired city space into a bastion of beauty and serenity. SoapCenter was privileged to see the studio in its before and after stages.
On the first visit, construction was still being done and Catherine was hammering out the details for décor and design. She knew what she wanted from day one: "I want it to be a relaxing experience; that's the way I think that makeup should be." On SoapCenter's second visit, it was clear that all of Catherine's dreams for the studio had come true. With a soothing water-wall, comfortable sofas, and soft lighting, the studio had become a place that any woman would want to spend hours in.
One of Catherine's goals is to not only to sell Cat Cosmetics, but to also hold weekly classes where women can learn how to correctly apply their makeup. She would ultimately like for the studio to play host to bridal showers and parties where women can "play with makeup instead of games." With the Cat Cosmetics Studio, Catherine Hickland has given women a way to live like a soap opera star and escape to a world of glamour and beauty.
